Traffic Playground Model

Working with the model is easy and instructional.... Illustration and manipulation... The developed methodology... For working with the model we have prepared a methodology which contains 300 questions related to the model. The model is easily storable... Traffic signs are flat... Traffic signs can be positioned anywhere ... Traffic signs are flexible... On the other side of the playground you can create a specific map of your school surroundings.

DESCRIBTION

The Traffic Playground Model contains :

Two boards featuring a traffic plan, two clips for firmly connecting the model boards together, 7 coloured pages with 300 test questions divided into three tests and four difficulties , 27 traffic signs + 5 spares, 6 figures with faces, 3 model cars, 4 models of bicycles.

Model dimensions :

The size of the basic model for a maximum of 12 pupils is 840x600 mm. The enlarged size is 1200x840 mm.

WORKING METHODS:

• Show on the model the basic concept, (a pedestrian crossing, a crossroad, a broken central line and so on...).
• Describe the dangerous traffic situations which can occur. How to prevent them? Illustrate this with the model...
• Compete in teams who can answer the test questions the fastest and in the best way....
• Logically place traffic signs into the model.
• Solve correctly a model situation at the crossroad.
• Due to the fact that from the beginning the pupils do not face a previously established plan but are involved in its compilation, they can fathom out the logic of a traffic situation much more intensively. In addition, by working in teams the ability of team cooperation, understanding and a general tolerance develops.

USED MATERIALS:

The model board is very resilient and stable. The base is MDF board as used for floating laminate floors. The model surface is laminated so that it is resistent to both rubbing and water. The test papers are laminated. Traffic signs along with bicycles are made from a flexible plastic. The toy cars and figures are strong and of a high quality.
